Never seen for a long time, no nonsense.Brought a design project we did in Genoa today.This design was completed by zhong Ximing Xu Penghui cristi in Milan.It has been tossing for a long time.On the day of face-to-face communication with the three professors, we finally designed an umbrella.Teddy, who is next to me, laughs at us.
The base is located in Genoa, and a small square needs to be remodeled.
I am a type of person who doesn’t believe in the concept of text. From the very beginning, I always think that the effort to speak beautiful words is always faster than the linguistics of the figure. The word concept can be disguised, but the spatial order is difficult to fake. The wall is there, saying no benefit, good physical space order, logically expresses sincerity. So every time you do something new, you don’t force yourself to have a concept, and a starting point. You can’t help but admit that there are things that architects can’t solve. For example, the poor have a living path and the young people have ideals. You have made space to satisfy the architect’s joy and passion, and then the poor are still hungry, and the youth are still confused. In the end, there may be only a few people who consume their sorrow and get a prize. Therefore, the point we set out has always been based on the level of living and living.

Xuga: There is a lot of history, but they really don’t have a construction to sit down. Historical exhibition sites have to be roofed.
Me: If there are more than one umbrella, it would be a combination of a sheletter.
Instead, you can try the house instead of the umbrella shade and do some privacy, or change the public space. That is not an umbrella, a huge machine, a city, and we need a lot of data. Use the environment to generate such a big monster that can be moved. The teacher gsd is not saying that we are studying the boundary. I have to say that it is a very serious and knowledgeable professor. Her research field is ai or the boundary between artificial intelligence and design. I first learned about the system. Where is computer aid, where is the human design category, and where is the border. Can you break the border? It also provides a lot of routes and ideas for us to get real data. Big data we can’t get, we can’t get it. So the first question, it asks us what is data. Can you eat? Can you avoid the rain? Can I use it to sit down and have a coffee? ……
Thinking about Environmental Data
For a few days, I have been trying to teach the problem, the data is like a kind of transformation medium, the perception of the body’s perceived color. I can collect the standards of these dimensions, even the humidity is comfortable or not, the noise is small, I don’t feel cold, These things are all ways to quantify. I can define it myself. I threw away the big data data analysis related books, and got rid of the pains of the tutorial. We began to record people’s perceptions, the perceptions of urban citizens, and turned themselves into visual results.
Noise We measure the sound wave deviation of street sound waves, find paper analysis, how to adapt to spatial form or orientation
Rain, we do rain test, measure whether different rainfall can produce landscape effects, or where there is a need for plants where water is needed
The sun, we do five years of meteorological data and thermal radiation analysis, we can know where to go to open the umbrella, when to open the umbrella
People flow, gathering place What time, who will be together. Will you meet each other, where is someone lying in the square, where is someone sitting?

The biggest challenge is that you have to read quite a few papers. Software may need to constantly learn by itself. For example, how do we get the position of people on the square? The heat map and the most willingness of people to do, the dimensional narrative of temperature, has a real value for our design.

At that time, I knew why I still have to learn from the distance.
With perceptual behavioral data, structures need to be used to support the mapping of these city perceptions to design. Where is the space needed.
